Night Receptionist

Relocated to the Azores (Portugal) after London experience to start a new chapter, holding simultaneous roles including night shift at Hotel Zenite, a cozy, centrally located 2-star hotel in the historic heart of Angra do Heroísmo (Terceira Island), the oldest city in the Azores (founded 1450).

Handled overnight front-desk operations in a small, welcoming property: managed late check-ins and early check-outs for guests, prepared daily housekeeping reports, operated a basic Property Management System (PMS) for reservations and billing, maintained cleanliness and tidiness of common areas (lobby, breakfast room), and set up the continental breakfast buffet each morning. Ensured smooth, secure, and hospitable service during quiet night hours in a tourist-friendly historic setting. This role built foundational hospitality skills in a serene island environment.

Main duties on desk

  1. Night Front-Desk Operations – Managed overnight reception, handling guest arrivals/departures and security in a low-traffic but essential role.
  2. Check-In/Check-Out Processing – Efficiently processed late arrivals and early departures, ensuring accurate registration and smooth transitions.
  3. Basic PMS & Administrative Tasks – Operated property management software for bookings, reports, and guest data management.
  4. Housekeeping Report Preparation – Compiled and delivered daily housekeeping status reports to support daytime team coordination.
  5. Breakfast Setup & Common Area Maintenance – Prepared continental breakfast buffet and kept public spaces clean, tidy, and guest-ready.
